Steps to Register for Spring 2017 Semester:

  1. All continuing students must meet with their faculty academic advisor before registering for classes. All advising appointments are on a first come first serve basis. Appointments can be made starting two weeks before registration through your Starfish account. You are encouraged to register early to ensure the most options for your schedule. Advisor information can be found on your Starfish account under “My Success Network.” Please locate your academic advisor there, not to be confused with academic improvement plan advisor.
  2. Review the grid below to find out when you can register for classes.

Current Non Degree Student registration begins the Monday after the first week of registration. Please see the Student Support Center (DON139) for your registration information. You will be required to show picture ID.

New student registration begins on Monday, December 1st for both new degree-seeking and non-degree seeking students. New and returning students must meet with an advisor in the Student Support Center. Contact the Student Support Center at 406-447-6939 to make an appointment.

1.   Follow these steps to register for classes on My HC.

-      Visit www.umhelena.edu

-      Select My HC

-      Select the Login button

-      Enter your NetID and Password

-      Select My HC again

-      Select Student Services

-      Select Registration

-      Select Add/Drop Classes

-      Select the appropriate semester

-      Enter your Advising Number from you received from your advisor.

-      Scroll to the bottom of the page and enter the CRN’s (Course Reference Number) or use Class Search to find courses and register.

-      Submit Changes

-      Scroll down to review your registration status

2.   Review all drop/add, payment dates, and financial aid information to make sure you do not get dropped from classes.
