Streaming Videos

Real Player - Download the "Free Real Player" For files with the .ra, .ram, or .smil extension.
QuickTime - You want to "Download the Free Player." For files with the .mov extension.
Windows Media Player - For .wmv files. Download the player which corresponds to your operating system (Windows 7, Vista, Windows XP, 2000, Mac OSX, etc.)

Other Kinds of Viewers:

Adobe Acrobat For .pdf files, download the free "Adobe Reader" application. This file format is widespread and most students will need this program throughout their university career.
Macromedia Flash Player This enables users to view Flash (.swf) documents. Download the free player.
Macromedia Shockwave Player This enables users to view Shockwave documents. Download the free player.

Microsoft Office Compatability Pack for Word,
Excel, PowerPoint 2007 File Formats

This download allows users who do not have Microsoft Office 2007 on their computers to open and view Office 2007 files.
Microsoft Viewer: Excel 2003
This download allows users who do not have Excel installed on their computers to open and view Excel files.
Microsoft Viewer: PowerPoint 2003
This download allows users who do not have PowerPoint installed on their computers to open and view PowerPoint files.
Microsoft Viewer: Word 2003
This download allows users who do not have Word installed on their computers to open and view Word files.

** Note: You do not need to download the Viewer if you have a full version of the program installed onto your computer.

Mac - PowerPoint 98 Viewer for Macintosh The free Word Viewer and Excel Viewer are not available for the Macintosh.
