Renewal Units & Graduate Credit Opportunities
Teachers, are you looking for a convenient, economical way to earn Continuing Education Units (OPI renewal units) or Graduate Credits for your teacher’s license renewal?
Renewal Units
Our Ed2Go courses are a convenient way to get your renewal units. These instructor-facilitated non-credit courses are informative, convenient, highly interactive, and most are only $104 and are worth 24 Renewal Units through the Office of Public Instruction. Each six-week class has a two-week grace period at the end. Courses are project-oriented and include lessons, quizzes, assignments, discussion areas, and supplementary links. You can do coursework at any time of the day or night.
Before taking a course for renewal units, please be sure that course will fit your learning plan. Upon enrollment, let us know that you plan to use the class to earn renewal units, so we can initiate your documentation. Once your course is completed, reach out to us once again, and we'll finalize your renewal unit certificate. You will fill in your personal information, and submit to the Office of Public Instruction.
- Search for and explore courses in your area of interest - classes start each month.
- Browse all you want. When you're ready, click ENROLL NOW. Follow the instructions that walk you through username/password selection.
- Pay online with a credit card, or choose "pay later" to be contacted by our staff with other options.
All courses require Internet access, e-mail, and an internet browser (Explorer or Firefox). Some courses may have additional requirements - for example, classes on a specific computer program require that program be installed on your machine.

Online Courses with Graduate Credit Option
We have an exciting new set of courses for educators and business for the 21st Century. Classes start soon - work at your own pace - the classroom is always open. Led by expert instructors; classes are multimedia and discussion areas are interactive. Take multiple courses toward a professional certificate, or take individual courses of interest.
Optional 1.0 graduate credit for each course is awarded by the School of Education at the University of South Dakota, a nationally recognized university and academic pioneer in distance learning.
There are five courses available, and each costs $145. After you register for your course, you pay the additional fee of just $40 to the University of South Dakota for the awarding and processing of your graduate credit. Course titles:
