LOAN COUNSELING

Loan Entrance and Exit counseling is a requirement of the Federal government for all Federal Family Loan (FFELP) recipients.

It is also the policy of the UM-Helena College of Technology to require that new and transfer students do a Loan Entrance Counseling before their funds will be disbursed.

Loan Entrance Counseling sessions are available during all New Student Orientation and two weeks prior to new students’ first loan disbursements. These sessions are mandatory and held on campus. See the Information Express, the student news letter, for dates and times.

Loan Exit Counseling is offered to graduates in December and April on campus. Graduates are required to complete their Loan Exit Counseling on campus only.
